You are here: How do I... > L > Lyrics > Adding “word extensions” on specific syllables only
- Click the Lyrics tool
. The Lyrics menu appears.
- Choose Lyrics > Lyric options.
- Choose Word Extensions. The Word Extensions dialog box appears.
- Check Only Create on Lyrics with Underscores (_).
- Make sure Use Smart Word Extensions is checked.
- Click OK twice to confirm your settings.
- Add an underscore (_) after a syllable to define a word extension either while using Type Into Score, or while entering into the Lyrics window.
Note: If Smart Word Extensions if turned Off in the Word Extensions dialog box, underscore characters will not convert to word extensions.
